A few weeks ago Austin fell in love with Lucy, Savanna and Chance's new little puppy; she is the sweetest little dog. Austin held her on his lap, without moving, for about an hour, then for the next week he asked everyday if we could go over and hold Lucy. Then he progressed to wanting his own dog. But he didn't want one like Lucy, he wanted one from his new favorite movie, "101 Dalmatians". Last weekend Austin's cousins were in town and we went shopping. From across the store I could hear him yelling for me. I found him hugging a little stuffed animal dog. He told me that he really wanted this dog. He was thrilled when I told him that he could have it. He kept telling me "thanks mom, thanks". When we got into the car I asked him what his puppy's name was. He immediately told me "Matian". I repeated, "Mason?" "No mom. Mason lives with Coleman". I asked him again, and again he told me "Matian". I couldn't figure it out for the life of me. I asked him if the name was from the movie and he said yes, so I tried thinking of all of the dogs names on the movie, but nothing sounded like Matian. He finally got frustrated with me that I couldn't understand him and stopping trying to tell me. Later that day I was telling his Grandma that he had gotten a new puppy, just like the one's on 101 Dalmations, and Austin went crazy saying "Yeah mom! Matian!" I finally got it! He named his puppy Dalmatian. He is so proud of his little puppy and loves him so much. He goes everywhere with us. He sleeps with him, he eats with him, he rides in the car with him. Someday maybe we'll graduate to a real dog, but for now he's just our kind of dog.

No computer
So Jeremy has had my lap top at the office for the past month for a new girl that we hired and haven't had a computer for yet. So I've been patiently waiting to post any blogs as I put all of my pictures on my lap top. Finally I decided that I should just post, and then go back and add pictures later when I get my computer back...so for now- no new pictures, just some memories that I wanted to get down.

Makay's First Tooth
Makay's had a tooth that has been trying to come through for about a month now. We've had fussy nights, runny noses, and a miserable little boy. Finally this morning the tooth had broken through! I was showing Austin that Makay had a tooth now, and told him that he was growing into a big boy. Austin quickly said "BK (Austin's nickname for Baby Makay) a big boy now? He play football with me?" That one didn't take him long to put together! I had to explain that he wasn't quite big enough to play football yet, but that he was getting there!

Easter
We had lots of fun Easter festivities this year. It all started with the Easter Egg hunt. Lots of friends got together up at Rock Canyon Park and had a picnic and easter egg hunt for the kids. Austin, Coleman and Ellie loved it! Coleman found his eggs first, so he was nice enough to help Austin find some for him.

On Saturday night as we were putting Austin to bed we were explaining to him that he had to go to sleep so that the Easter Bunny could come. He layed down for a minute and then heard a noise outside of his room. He sat up really quick and looked at me and said "The Easter Bunny!?!" It was fun to see how excited he was.

The Easter Bunny finally did come and brought both Austin and Makay basket ball jersey's with their names on them! Austin was in Heaven!

The Perfect Gift
For my birthday this year Jeremy had my grandma's cedar chest, that I received when she past away, refinished. It was the perfect gift. It was so fun for me to see how much Grandma loved Austin. As she was in the care center the last few months of her life we would go and see her. Austin was still little (just over a year) and he didn't talk much, but he did do quite a bit of sign language and she LOVED him coming to visit her. Those last few weeks sometimes she would know who we were and sometimes she wouldn't. The day before she past away we stopped by to see her. We had a fun visit and Austin showed her all of his signs. Later that afternoon my aunt Carolyn came by to see her and asked her if anyone had been by yet today. Grandma told Carolyn yes, that "Austin and that other girl" had come by. What a special memory for me to know how much Grandma loved Austin and how much his visits had meant to her!
