The Perfect Gift

For my birthday this year Jeremy had my grandma's cedar chest, that I received when she past away, refinished. It was the perfect gift. It was so fun for me to see how much Grandma loved Austin. As she was in the care center the last few months of her life we would go and see her. Austin was still little (just over a year) and he didn't talk much, but he did do quite a bit of sign language and she LOVED him coming to visit her. Those last few weeks sometimes she would know who we were and sometimes she wouldn't. The day before she past away we stopped by to see her. We had a fun visit and Austin showed her all of his signs. Later that afternoon my aunt Carolyn came by to see her and asked her if anyone had been by yet today. Grandma told Carolyn yes, that "Austin and that other girl" had come by. What a special memory for me to know how much Grandma loved Austin and how much his visits had meant to her!

Hey, I caught Sterling checking your blog last night so I finally got to see it. You guys are so cute! You both look great and your kids are just adorable. We were so bummed we were not able to meet up with you a few weeks ago. We can't wait to finally see you again and get to know your cute kids!
